CFDAFASHIONAWARDSMAIN CFDA Gets Low Via The New York Public Library...

On a Booshie note….
And some of you already know what time it is when the CFDA has anything to do with a function! Last night New York Public Library turned itself into a festive event full of glitz, glamor, & yes a fashion spectacle! In the midst of Yves Saint Laurent’s passing the fashion elite including Hollywood’s finest paid homage to the famous designer by sporting inspired looks & or original designs from the house of YSL. Monday night the Council Of Fashion Designers Of America honored the winners of the 2008 Fashion Awards and they are as followed:

- Womenswear Designer Of The Year: Francisco Costa for Calvin Klein Collection
- Menswear Designer Of The Year: Tom Ford
- Accessories Designer Of The Year: Tory Burch
- Swarovski Womenswear: Kate and Laura Mulleavy for Rodarte
- Swarovski Menswear: Scott Sternberg for Band of Outsiders
- Swarovski Accessories: Philip Crangi

PS: I kind of have a feeling as to why Tory Burch won the Accessories Designer Of The Year Award….it had to be because of those damn Reva ballet flats everyone [including their ancestors] were spotted wearing straight to damnation through out 2006-2007. Thanks to the paparazzi & famed celebrities - women found themselves hauling major tail to cop a pair of ballet flats that became a popular “must - have” accessory.
