Before you break fly…and start laughing take a moment to scroll back in time with me…just for a moment! Now for those who grew up in the hood….and knew what it was like not being able to own a pair of name brand sneakers. You can definitely feel where I am going with this! Just imagine being ten years old looking at sneakers without the trademark swoosh insignia - knowing damn well that the following day your peers would run havoc on your foot wear. Back in the day if you were caught running around the streets of NYC in what we called “skippies”….you would be labeled as being a welfare recipient. If it weren’t for my mother breaking down elementary school logic…I guess I would have been one of those twenty-something year old’s flipping crazy cash on a shrink! Ahhhh…..to hell with what people think about us now that we are grown…right? Exactly! For we know who we are…and what the hell we spend our hard earned cash on! So check this out…I have been on a mission to put my every day kicks on hold…for something new! Well….not that new….but new to some who aren’t familiar with Tretorn footwear. I am sure that you have noticed Tretorn’s bright and vibrant rain boots - and never knew the name behind the rubber. And for those who are familiar with the brand know that these shoes are absolutely adorable to the eyes & the feet!

For the summer I’ve already conjured up a “to-do” list in regards to potential ensembles! Pairing sneakers with dresses….and YES this combination does work! Aside from my Converse Chucks…I truly think that Tretorn’s canvas hi-tops are another good match for would-be outfits! Naturally one of my closest friends laughed at my selection…and bypassed on the entire notion! So I decided to take it to the blog…and ask you lovely folks for your opinion!
