The rule is still in effect for a pair of kicks…that are interesting pleasing to the eye! Nike has definitely been pulling out all stops on getting the “movement” jumping! Meet the Nike “Lobster” Dunk Low Premium SB - with a dose of that succulent Maine lobster hued flavor. In collaboration with Massachusetts own Concepts shop, these sneakers have conjured up a major stir for the past couple of months. These sneakers are a great novelty piece…I wouldn’t know where to start! More or less even wear them out on the street! Let’s keep in mind ladies…these sneakers were created for the Summer 2008…and what good would it be if it just sat on a shelf? Right? Exactly! This unique Nike SB sneaker truly bugs me out from the table cloth styled inner lining…..and the rubber band feature [which is removable] this entire sneaker definitely trips “your girl” up! Essense has it locked…loaded….and ready for your purchasing pleasure!

Whoa….we already know that the house of Louis Vuitton doesn’t take copyright infringing lightly! And it seems as though our favorite French couturier has taken it to the next level, and has filed charges against 26 year old Danish student/designer Nadia Plesner for selling posters & t-shirts of a young Darfur victim holding a inspired Louis Vuitton handbag. Now get this….all profits from these posters & t-shirts have been going to a charitable cause….but LV is still not having it! Artist Nadia Plesner started a major Simple Living campaign to raise awareness fo genocide in Darfur, which she is taking part in helping raise money for victims. Februrary 2008 Plesner received a cease & desist letter from Louis Vuitton’s head office in Paris, asking sternly if she would end her campaign - sighting that one of their products is being portrayed in her art work. Plesner responded back to the “house”, letting them know that she will continue her campaign to support the victims of Darfur! End result….thi month on April 15th 2008 - Plesner received a lawsuit from Louis Vuitton, sighting intellectual property damages.

Nadia’s campaign has been generating a lot of attention  - Louis Vuitton however was the least bit impressed by Plesner’s creative expression. Since the lawsuit papers have been filed LV has demanded $7,500 (5,000 Euro) for each day she continues to sell Simple Life products, $7,500 for each day their letter is published on the website and $7,500 a day for using the name “Louis Vuitton” on her website. In addition they want her to pay their lawyer costs and $15,000 to cover other expenses they have incurred in protecting their ‘intellectual property’. So ladies & germs…what do you think about the new LV battle? Do you think that Louis Vuitton has gone a tad bit too far? Or do you feel that an artists has the right to express themselves no matter the cost?

Oh darn….
Just when the women were having all of the fun! Well we all knew it wouldn’t have been long until the boys came back swinging! And next month they will be swinging out with three pairs of Terminator High Quickstrike sneakers. The colors chosen for this collection represent the five Olympic rings which represent the five continents….but hold up….two more colors are obviously missing! There has been no word on what day these will be released…but I’ll keep you guys updated. Hmmm….ladies…what do you think is better? The Nike WMNS Air Force 1 Hi Quickstrike “Color Pack” or the Terminator High Quickstrike?
