Chanel Mobile Art In The Quest For Global Domination…And Then Some!

Art definitely makes the world go round!
If it weren’t for it’s influential impact on the world…..it would be a simply a boring life to live. Chanel has decided to take our love for the legendary quilted 2.55 bag to extreme heights - by focusing on a event that will soon take over the world - literally! On a international quest for domination, Karl Lagerfeld has put his leather clad finger tips and pointed it in the direction of Zaha Hadid to create MOBILE ART. This will be a first time traveling event that will be presented in Hong Kong [Going On Now-April 2008]. Followed by stops in Tokyo [May-July 2008], New York [September], London [June 2009], Moscow [September 2009], and back to Paris [January 2010]. Created by architect Zaha Hadid - the Chanel Mobile Art exhibit has been crafted in a unique and futuristic manner, which will give visitors the ultimate experience. Twenty world renowned contemporary artists will exhibit work inspired by the elements that give the Chanel quilted 2.55 bag it’s classic & iconic identity.

To commemorate the Mobile Art Hong Kong celebration Chanel has created a limited edition alligator & dried shark skin quilted 2.55 handbags. Inscribed with Karl Lagerfeld’s handwriting on the inside [Mobile Art Hong Kong 2008] will be available only in Hong Kong. Each handbag will come in two sizes and will be priced starting at $3,095 [for the 32cm] & 3,776 [for the 35cm].
