Sonia Rykiel kicked off the 40th anniversary in fashion at the Les Arts Décoratifs in Paris. Yesterday, Rykiel welcomed fashion fans & guest to take a glimpse of her works which feature over 200 ensembles. The exhibition displays Rykiels influence on fashion, and we’ve got an extensive look into the exhibition. There are some familiar pieces for those who indeed pay attention to what’s going on in the world! There are a few items seen in HBO’s hit television series Sex And The City along with a few other pieces that make you scroll back into the pages of Vogue.

Yesterday, Lagerfeld was spotted at Monnaie de Paris, kicking off the 125th anniversary of Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel’s birth. Largerfeld created Two sets of coins both in gold & silver both featuring Chanel’s portrait on one side, and a giant number five on the other side - which represent it’s face value of $6.30 USD / 5 Euros which will be featured in the limited edition collection. The most valuable coin out of the entire Chanel coin series will be a solid gold coin weighing five ounces, and will fetch a price tag o f $7,450 USD/ 5,900 Euros. The Chanel coin collection  series will contain a total of 11,099 coins - of which only 99 coins will be super exclusive and are slated for release of purchase come 12.01.08! So if you are interested in having the late “Coco Chanel” immortalized on your mantel piece be sure to hit your local Chanel Boutique next month.
